When and why we started!
South West Cavan C.D.P was founded in 1999 by a committee of local people and since then has attempted to address the issues of social and geographical isolation, poverty, and lack of quality affordable services through collaboration with the communities affected and statutory bodies such as the County Development Board, Cavan Partnership, The Rural Transport Initiative, LEADER, & the H.S.E.

What is South West Cavan C.D.P?
South West Cavan C.D.P is a rural community development project that aims to tackle issues of disadvantage, isolation, prejudice and inequality thus increasing the quality of life of the local community.

Who manages the project?
The project is managed by local people for local people and serves the areas of : Crosserlough, Ballymachugh, Mullahoran, Denn, and parts of Lower Lavey and Ballintemple.
